Just released, and available at Mass Street Music (and probably some other fine places), the Midday Ramblers’ latest CD, “Run Mountain”. Our own shop manager extraordinaire, Mike Horan, is in the band. Not only are they some of the most stylishly dressed fellows to grace a Lawrence stage or hoedown, but they can really throw down some fine tunes too. Eighteen of ‘em to be exact, on this fine disc. Just a quick heads up that our good friends the Midday Ramblers (which includes our great repair shop manager, Mike Horan) will be playing the annual Holiday Hoedown tonight, Friday, Dec. 12, at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, along with the Wilders and Drakkar Sauna. Show starts at 7:30. Woo-hoo! If you need a little Christmas cheer or a just a little sonic tonic for your soul, you’d be hard pressed to do better than the Hoedown. Last year they did some of their own sets and also mixed it up with members of the other bands so it was quite a sweet ‘variety’ show.
