JHS Pedals Visits Mass Street Music

JHS Lime Aid Bass Compressor Effects PedalJHS Pedals, based not far from us in Kansas City, is one of our favorite effects pedal lines. JHS President and founder, Josh Scott, braved snow and ice pellets (on what was supposed to be a spring day) last month to come visit Mass Street Music and talk pedals. The hand built quality and commitment to tone are evident in every pedal, from the Double Barrel Overdrive to the ultra-cool, low footprint Mini Foot Fuzz. He’s a very down-to-earth musician who just started modding pedals and sold a few here and there, before requests started pouring in for more. His family relocated to Kansas City and in 2009, Mass Street Music became the first official dealer for these great, innovative pedals (which are also some of the coolest looking pedals around!).

Josh took time out to talk in depth with our own John Flynn about how JHS got started, how Mass Street hooked up with JHS, and why the pedals look so freaking cool – plus they have an interesting discussion about the evolution of pedalboards (starts about 2:35 in). Questions about pedals? Just give us a call at 800-747-9980.
