Whether you’re into blues, folk, or just like seeing a phenomenal acoustic guitar player ply his trade, Paul Geremia delivers on all counts – he’s the real deal. His country blues finger-picking (and sweet harmonica playing) recalls the early days of blues and its influence on folk music. We’re very pleased to present Geremia in a special concert at Mass Street Music on Sunday, March 10, 2013. The show begins at 3pm with a set from local Lawrence bluesman Pat Nichols.
Geremia is a living link in the blues line, having opened for and learned from legends like Skip James, Howlin’ Wolf, Son House, Pink Anderson and more. He puts his own spin on works from the early blues canon, as well as contributing stirring originals. His scholarship of early blues is remarkable and he often recounts tales of his adventures from coast to coast and around the world during his shows.
We’ll be opening the store at 2pm on the 10th so you can stop by early if you need strings or just want to say hello. Tickets for this special show are $15 and available at Mass Street Music – or just give us a call at 800-747-9980.
