Latest issue with cover image of Grier's 1955 D-18, once his dad's
Happy to let you know the brand spankin’ new issue of our favorite magazine Fretboard Journal is in at Mass St. Music. As always, this one is chock full of amazing images, interviews and profiles including a killer profile of guitarist David Grier, Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore interviews Michael Chapman, Otis Taylor, James Goodall of Goodall Guitars and we’re especially excited about the great profile of Eastman Guitars which includes some beautiful images. Also their usual treasure trove of the unexpected – which this round includes an article on banjo collector Mac Yasuda (with a photo of his mindblowing array of custom banjos) and a really nice piece on John Lee Hooker’s Detroit…Stellar issue as always. Get one while we got ‘em.

John Flynn – Xotic EP Booster
Simply put, this just makes everything sound better. There’s no excuse to not own one of these. Plug it in, turn it on, let the praises fly.

The Xotic EP Booster makes it mo betta
Brian Soden – Seuf OF-19 Sherwood Green
This is my favorite Seuf OF-19 yet. Killer era-correct finish color and an incredibly resonant body. This guitar has looks, tone and feel. What more do you need? Oh yeah…a fringe jacket. Now you’re set!

Brian's fave this month
Matt Harmon (Repair Shop) – Grosh ElectraJet Special

We posted something a while back about this great Country Music memorabilia auction at Christie’s – just incredible stuff. Check out Luther Perkins’ Fender - went for 74K. Here’s Luther, half of Johnny Cash’s Tennessee Two.
