We’ve been anxiously anticipating for the Fall 09 issue of Fretboard Journal as we knew it would have a great article on Wilco, and as usual, there’s much much more in the pages of this incredible quarterly magazine. A serious feast for instruments fans.
In addition to the fantastic piece on Wilco, this includes a really great article on Pete Seeger and his famous banjo, another on banjo player Alison Brown, an intriguing Martin restoration article, and a really killer piece on legendary guitar builders the Larson Brothers. This article explores their legacy, includes some just awe-inspiring photos and even mentions the wonderful builders Blazer & Henkes (Rudie Blazer will be here at Mass St. Music for a clinic on Sat., Sept. 26th). We’ve got copies here at the store, a few are heading down to Winfield today, and I believe it’s also available at some big book box stores. One of the best mags out there today. Lots of cool info also at their Fretboard Journal blog.
